The new Swiss medical law MedBG/LPmed came into effect on September 1st, 2007.
It regulates the chiropractic profession on a federal level. In Switzerland, chiropractic is a medical profession regulated on the same level as medical doctors, veterinarians, dentists, and pharmacists.

The postgraduate education program of the Swiss Chiropractic Academy prepares chiropractic postgraduates for life-long self-directed learning according to the principle of evidenced based medicine, analytical thinking and critical clinical decision making. The courses are held in English.
