PostgraduateAfter having graduated as a chiropractor from the University of Zurich or one of the foreign Having passed the federal examination, a chiropractor wanting to practice in Switzerland, starts with a two year assistant-ship at a licensed chiropractor’s office. The principal fulfils requirements (criterias) mandated by the Swiss Academy for Chiropractic. During the two years as an assistant, the chiropractor visits postgraduate weekly courses at the Swiss Chiropractic Academy in Berne. The Swiss Catalogue of Learning Objectives for Chiropractic Education and Training LOCES defines the chiropractic profile by the end of postgraduate education by general as well as The responsible person for the postgraduate education holds a master of medical education and is a specialist in x-ray diagnosis. The teaching faculty consists of chiropractors who offer an assistant position. Moreover, university personnel specialised in domains related to chiropractic as rheumatology, orthopaedics, pharmacology, psychology etc. are invited for teaching. An examination in x-ray principles and technique is taken during the assistantship. Before or after the assistantship, the chiropractors accomplish a four month training in rheumatology and orthopaedics at a university hospital. The assistant-ship concludes with an exam to obtain a specialised title as a «Fachchiropraktor». This exam (Post-Graduate Education) is scheduled for January 24 and January 29, 2011 .
